House Love...

I want to share these things so much, but every time I put something on FB, I have people offer to pay me to make them a "whatever".  I love crafting, but it's for the joy, not for the money.  So I'm hoping I can get my friends and family on board with following me on here.  I can share more personal experiences on here, whereas I can't do that on facebook.

Let me warn you though, I will probably misspell things on here, but I hate going through to make sure there are no typo's.  I hope you can forgive me.

Chad's home from overseas!!! and after a very short "leave him alone and let him rest" period, I'm determined to get my home all set up.  So I'm working on front/back porch right now... and guest bathroom.  Chad is... not so very excited to help me but... I feel like he'll come around.

So, last night... about 9:30 p.m. I decided... I MUST sew a shower curtain right now! so... I Did!  Here she is, 100% burlap, Neutral colors (bc that's my fav), all it needs now is a beautiful painted monogram right in the middle.  I'll get to that eventually.

3 in 1!  Charlie's new haircut (by me).  My new planter with an Angel Trumpet Plant (meant for my front porch), and some crazy super green grass growing thing for the dirt spot on our yard, Chad can't stand dirt spots.. so we'll see how that goes.

and BEHOLD!!!! One of two rocking chairs, primed, and ready to be painted blue!  I want to get to that today.  Will post a pic when it's all finished up. I have a vision: two blue rocking chairs with my bright yellow planter in the middle, front door mat and door hanger to match.

Cortney's Eyes!!!

I always have a favorite Pic from each shoot... and this is my fav from Cortney's.  I can always see something in a pic I wish I would have done differently... like have her ring in focus also.. but it isn't about being perfect.  It's about capturing a moment that tells a story about that time in their life.  Love it.

Birthday Buttons!!!

Pecan Branch Buttons!
Find a fallen pecan branch, make sure it's not green, you want it to be dry but not rotted.  I cut it into small circles on a scroll saw, marked my button holes with a pencil, drilled the holes with a tiny drill bit (cordless drill).  Lastly, I soaked them in Danish oil and let them dry outside in the sun.
We'll see how they hold up, so very excited!
